Summary:
The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing the management, growth, and profitability of products and services.
Must work to improve the company’s competitive position in the market place. Performs strategic planning for new business development.
Researches and recommends new markets for existing products and/or new products for existing markets.
Manages the commercialization of new product development projects including product portfolio, product pricing, and promotions.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Develop strategic business and long range plans, directs and coordinates required strategies to meet aggressive accelerated revenues and income growth targets within the channel. Ensures the business unit meets and/or exceed business sales and margin objectives.
2. Defines customer and market requirements and prioritize product development needs.
3. Implements Chinese marketing objectives and equipment forecast. Responsible for concentration of marketing effort, and investigation of new opportunities, i.e. product merchandising and additional business channels.
4. Responsible for evaluating and reporting market conditions and competitive information.
5. Understand the competition’s business model, develop product benchmarks, determine the product offerings for the channel and execute strategic business plan.
6. Drive the analysis, conclusions and strategic direction of market research findings, particularly in terms of end-user segmentation, new product development, pricing/positioning, channel and promotional strategies, and channel insights.
7. Major activities include identifying target market / company opportunities, identifying market / customer expectations and providing market data to identify and justify the commercialization of new products.
8. Direct all promotional activities including brochures, website, mailers, and shows to maintain and increase product sales and customer satisfaction
Requirements:
1. Must possess an advanced degree in Chemical, Business, Marketing (MBA preferred).
2. 8+ years of experience in marketing related fields and solid experience in market strategy development in the automotive aftermarket industry.
3. Excellent communication skills (both internally, across GM & managers, and externally with customer senior management), including professional presentation skills.
4. Provide sound strategic thinking, and good business judgment in all aspects of marketing.
5. Understanding of financial management and experienced in prepare long run budget.
6. Proficient computer skills - MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
7. Must have supervision experience.
