Position Title: Brand Engagement Senior Manager – China

Brand Engagement Managers provide an agency-type function within the Commercial organization and work closely with our Key Account Directors (sales) as well as the Design and Manufacturing functions to align brand, consumer, and business needs through creative strategy. This creative strategy informs the design process and results in innovative, relevant and executable packaging solutions that deliver on key account goals.

Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
1. Lead the strategic creative vision, development and execution of multiple projects, including final customer presentations that result in commercial success
2. Convert brand, consumer and market insight into clear, focused strategic direction to influence both tactical and strategic business decisions and guide the package innovation process
3. Develop and deliver packaging brand strategies to sell-in and position packaging solutions and machine platforms in a way that resonates with key customer stakeholders and delivers on business objectives
4. Engage with our highest value customers in a business development context, showcasing our differentiated capabilities through compelling value proposition development that positions as a strategic partner

Requirement:
1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Design or related field is required; Advanced degree is a plus, but not required
2. Must be conversant in both Mandarin and English
3. Must have experience working or living in China
4. Minimum of 10 - 12 years marketing experience, with a particular focus on consumer brands within an agency or consumer products company
5. Exceptional communication, interpersonal and team-oriented skills
6. Ability to work effectively with people from various functional areas with diverse perspectives, backgrounds and approaches; adaptable across a variety of organizational cultures and business situations
7. Propensity to act with a sense of urgency, take ownership of work and accept full accountability for commercial results
8. Strong management and implementation experience interfacing with a team of designers
9. Experience with consumer research methods and analyzing resulting data
10. Consumer packaging experience is a plus, but not required
11. This position will require approximately 20-30% travel (within China, across Asia-Pacific, and to the United States) and will be based in Shanghai, China
